Whether it the crazy-jealous husband, the obviously strange insistence of Osborn to behave in the way that he did, the whole affair with the French sisters. I have to say I saw this as the PBS edition, which cuts it to a 3-hour-story so I might have missed things which would have made it better See more 10/14/2010 I rather enjoyed this nice drama, BUT I wanted so much to reach into my screen and slap that husband. Holy cow was he ever a total idiot. Obviously, he had some kind of mental illness that was causing him to act that way, and which finally did him in. Watching him just made me madder and madder. The movie was so nicely done, though, and the rest of the people were able to have happy endings. So...made up for it I guess. See more 08/02/2010 This story was described as having a "juicy scandal" in it, which proves to be true. Yet, you're never entirely convinced as to who is "right". Did she or didn't she? The title alone made me want to see this. If you're a fan of period pieces and BBC dramas, you'll like this. See more 03/12/2010 I liked this.
