Bloody Disgusting

Hell House LLC transitions into traditional narrative filmmaking, expanding the increasingly dense and convoluted Abaddon lore in a way that’s unwelcoming to newcomers. In the process, it also loses its atmospheric edge and ability to scare.

The change from found footage takes away all tension, while the decision to add more lore to the already convoluted backstory is frustrating. This may end up being the last Hell House LLC movie no matter what the future plans are.

This fifth entry in the franchise is just a lot more of the same convoluted mythology and unengaging characters, even if this one abandons the found footage format. Die-hard fans might appreciate the new perspective on terror, though.

Im a huge hell house fan I loved this movie and how they are expanding the lore. Fair warning for non hell house fans you can not watch this movie without watching the others first! Also acting isnt the best but I loved this series to start with the amateur acting and low budget feel to it. It isnt found footage which after watching the movie I totally get why.
