Scott F It's easy to forget the desperation we all had in the early days of the pandemic, wondering just how contagious and dangerous this mysterious virus was. This film accurately portrays the intense fear and emotions of those passengers on the Diamond Princess who were quarantined for weeks wondering what their fate would be. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/08/24 Full Review Troy D Good documentary, editing and information. While most eyewitnesses were good and realistic. A few were really over the top with the doom and gloom, over exaggerated commentary. I was on a cruise ship in Australia and the South Pacific during this time and we were not allowed to dock. Cruise line did everything in their control to do what they could to accommodate us. NCL Jewel Feb 14 from Sydney. Hopefully I never see a few of these attention seekers on this show on a cruise ship again. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/04/23 Full Review Johnnie J Hell of a Cruise presented the information, it detailed passenger and on board staff account of what occurred, It appeared that the Princess Cruise line including Diamond Princess were ground zero for Coronavirus and its continued growth as many died. Toward the end of the documentary, it was in poor taste and clearly he was singled out to publish Arnold Donald CEO of Carnival Cruises Salary, but didn't publish Jan Swartz-President of Princess Cruises or the other cruise lines shown President or CEO Salaries. What was the point? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

John Sooja Common Sense Media The film does well to convey these fears and dangers passengers and employees suffered. Unfortunately, there isn't a happy ending, as most passengers state afterward that they'd love to continue their "cruise life" once life gets back to normal. Rated: 4/5 Sep 22, 2022 Full Review John Serba Decider Hell of a Cruise could use a little more focused, detailed approach. But as a wide-ranging look at a key moment in the Covid pandemic, it’s compelling and informative. Sep 15, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
