Audience Member This anthology is a real mixed bag. The individual stories were varied and inconsistent, and the wrap-a-round story was decent in and of itself. But Gunnar Hansen as an executioner of a maximum security prison...get a damn haircut and acting lessons. Holy crap. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member there is no way this film was 1999. there is so much 1970s overtones including the theme from Love Story that tells me this had to be a remake. It's ok film. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member In this quirky little anthology horror, a, imprisoned, crazed serial killer (Debbie Rochon) excitedly waits in anticipation for her execution at midnight. Also excited is the prison's warden (Gunnar Hansen), who comes to provoke and pick on her at her cell. Intrigued by her lunacy, Hansen stands and listens to Rochon spin three maddening tales from her book, said to have been told to her by the ghosts in the prison walls. The first story concerns a mother who has killed her children in order to flee and marry her rich boyfriend, but nothing stays dead (or in the water) for very long as the children zombies (clearly played by adults, lol) come back to take care of mommy. The second story concerns the troubles of a white trash wife who endures brutal beatings by her redneck husband every day. She finally has enough and asks for help from her witch neighbor who gives her the instructions on a spell to take care of her husband, with bad adverse effects if done wrong. I'm sure you can guess what the wife does next! The third and final story has a gang of deviant bikers who salute their fallen brothers by going to a sacred ground to worship Big Rhonda, the most notorious and deadly biker chick ever. A night of drugs and debauchery commences in Big Rhonda's honor, who has never let a cop hurt the gang...even on this particular night when one biker isn't who he claims to be. With that, the three stories conclude and our wrap-around comes full-circle, with horror icons Rochon and Hansen giving two fun performances. This anthology is a hoot and fun for those who dig these sorta low-grade direct-to-video films. I was surprised to see this came out in 1999, as the entire film's look and feel SCREAMS early 90's. Anyways, a fun little time-passer, especially for those who are fans of cheesy effects, campy stories, and veterans like Rochon and Hansen. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Really liked this B Movie about three different horror stories. The lesbian biker scene was not bad either. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member actually a fairly entertaining movie after expecting absolutely nothing from a troma movie!
