06/12/2011 Decent enough cheesy horror flick. See more David C 01/27/2011 surprisingly fun low budget thriller/horror See more 12/25/2010 Mild thrills and snail pacing should warrant no stars but I always had a soft spot for this bin indie distributed by Sony. Nuthouse setting and cool monster make it worthwhile, kinda. See more 06/25/2009 Interesting idea...piss poor execution. See more 04/06/2009 This movie is a sleeper and what I mean by that is, it's unheard of and when a few more people watch it and get the word out there it will take off. I really enjoyed it. I picked my copy up in a pawn shop and I am glad I did. A student doctor goes to local insane asylum to complete his studies, there he finds some pretty weird stuff, like people being fed to a harvester, which I must admit is pretty scary looking. Julie Lee plays the students girlfriend, she is beautiful. And Tommy Tiny Lister plays Smithy who really adds to the movie. The ending is no surprise, typical, but still a good suspense horror movie. This movie is also know as Hellborn. I have to give it 4 stars, and its a good one to add to the collection. See more 09/12/2008 I had very low expectations for Asylum of the Damned, but I was pleasantly surprised by its quality. The story is nothing particularly stellar and the effects are pretty abysmal, but the sets and characters are sturdy for such a low-budget, no-name picture. Nothing amazing, but really not too bad overall. Check it out sometime. See more Read all reviews
