David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a pervasively interminable thriller... Rated: 0/4 Oct 9, 2022 Full Review Tim Brayton Alternate Ending A movie whose heavy atmosphere might have been done better elsewhere, but it has a heavy atmosphere, and that's more than other Hellraiser sequels can claim. Rated: 2/5 Jul 10, 2022 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins The grisly violence and nightmarishly hallucinatory imagery returns, now accompanied by appalling sound effects that significantly amplify the brutality. Rated: 2/10 Sep 29, 2020 Full Review Calum Marsh Esquire Magazine Though it is sometimes plagued by the problems typical of low-budget horror, you can tell at all times that Inferno has a lot of ambition for a B-grade picture of its kind - and that sense makes all the difference. Justin T This feels very different to the first four films, almost like it is not related. The dreams and hallucinations and reality bending moments are a big departure in tone. There is a surprising amount of character and engagement though. The cenobites are more like Freddy Krueger in this. It’s a perfectly adequate film and not much more but it certainly held my attention throughout, one of the better part 5 in any franchise. It doesn't add anything new to the lore but it is very different and I didn’t mind that. At least it felt like a good quality film and they put effort into it. It’s a better Max Payne film than Max Payne (2008). I didn’t like the jittery camera in the climax. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/27/25 Full Review Eric G One of the best sequels so far, decent acting, interesting characters, a plot that keeps you interested, and most importantly, it's crazy scary! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/17/25 Full Review Makemake P Interesting concept. Hell done right. The only film in the hellraiser franchise that I like. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/14/25 Full Review Adam B Beginning the streak of movies in this series that was not written to be in it (allegedly), this movie shows the franchises rapid drop off. A generic cop mystery thriller, fans of that subgenre may get some enjoyment. Fans of the franchise looking for another entry will be extremely disappointed by the lack of almost anything resembling a Hellraiser movie. Still, the small bit of Pinhead we do it is nice. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/08/25 Full Review Cameron B A very underrated direct-to-video sequel. Easily the 3rd best entry into the series. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/24/24 Full Review Gabriel R I have to start off by saying, this script clearly was not written to be a Hellraiser film. This is a police investigation thriller with a few cenobites slapped in and a Hellraiserish ending. That being said, it is certainly not the worst movie I've ever watched. The twist is obvious but I didn't mind it. Doug Bradley is great. Watch it if you like Hellraiser and police thrillers, skip if you don't Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/24 Full Review Read all reviews
