See more 09/26/2021 As someone who is a life time Hendrix fan and have read his biographies, and read and watched many interviews, I found this movie accurate in a vague way on the events that happened in his life. I felt that it no way projected his personality, possibly due to the bad acting by the main character. All in all this flick was a failure in trying to give any insight about who Jimi Hendrix was. Failure in a big way! Truth spoken from a true fan! See more 04/30/2014 This movie quickly runs through Jimi Hendrix career while never playing any of his original music. The costumes where well done most of the time. Third rate acting from most of the cast, but what do you expect from a T.V. movie. Although Wood Harris wasn't too bad, he could have pretended to play a bit better. Especially when specific notes were being played or the whammy bar was being used and he wasn't doing anything. Many guitarists will notice this flaw. It was kind of cool that they briefly touched upon certain stories like the plaster cast of his "junk" etc. These are done in quick scenes. Anyways, it was nice to see what I've read so many times played on screen, hopefully the Movie with Andre 3000 will be better. See more 10/20/2012 It seems to lack that energy hendrix had..
