StephenPaul C The worst 01 hour: and 25 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This is classic comic book super hero stuff without all the 21st century special effects. It is Batman vs Supeman. This should have been called Hercules vs Samson. Ulysses was like Robin. Looking at it from the way we see super hero movies today, it was classic good vs evil. Yes, the sound effects were cheesy. Reminds me of Godzilla vs Monster Zero. Fun stuff. The fight scenes with swords, boulders and spears are like the lasers, blasters and mind probes. Off course, you have the women thrown into the mix. Best lines of the movie from Samson, Delilah "is a woman, a paradox". And Hercules warning Samson, "Beware Delilah" Also, the concept of Greek mythology meeting Christianity was interesting with truth and justice winning out. All in all, entertaining. Super powers of each being showcased. Oh yeah, those Nazi helmets on the Philistine soldiers added to the comic book flair of the movie message. I didn"t give the movie a 5 because Ulysses on the title took away from the two super heroes. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member So sue me, I liked it. Sometimes cheese is what's for dinner. I liked the character of Delilah. I liked her interactions with Hercules. I liked she was the brains behind the throne. And c'mon, a showdown between two legendary strongmen of different cultures - how can that not be epic? Yes, they're throwing styrofoam boulders at each other. It's still epic, dagnabbit! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member The two legendary strongmen, along with Ulysses set out to kill an evil sea monster. Overall, this film reminded me of the SNL Bill Murray Hercules skit ("That boulder is too large. I could life a smaller one."). This film pretty much hits every cornball Italian strongman film cliche and it's all quite entertaining. This one is high camp that is very fun to ironically watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member mixes history with mythology the result is an ok sword n sandal import. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Oh, I'm sorry, were you expecting logic from a movie entitled, "Hercules, Samson and Ulysses"? No, this movie is exactly what it sounds like. It has a terrible script where characters introduce themselves by referring to themselves in the third person,"And that way no one will ever know that Samson was in the village.", characters riding by the same scenery over and over again, the same two shots of soldiers being knocked of horses by spears used over and over again. I could go on, but you get the picture. In fact the best part of this movie is a decent fight scene between Samson and Hercules where the two muscle men use a variety of weapons, throw each other around, knock over several Styrofoam rocks and finally end the fight with the line, "I've never met a man as strong as you. We should team up." Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
