Too mild in its suspense and too pat in its soapy emphasis on maternal suffering. Go to Full Review

Connie Britton does her best to bring genuine substance and emotion to the clichéd and airless “Here After,” but she can only do so much. Go to Full Review

A mildly entertaining thriller that gives you just enough elements of a solid family mystery to keep you intrigued until the end. Go to Full Review

Claudio C Nov 28 Here After (2024) Bland Story of Guilt (12,091 – 27 Nov 2025 – by Claudio Carvalho) In Rome, the American high-school teacher Claire Hiller (Connie Britton) is separated from her Italian husband Luca (Giovanni Cirfiera) and lives with their teenage daughter Robin Hiller (Freya Hannan-Mills), who is her pride and joy. Robin has been mute since she was five due to a car accident and is an excellent pianist. When her piano teacher schedules an audition with a friend from the Conservatory, it is a rainy day, and Robin has an accident and dies. However, she is revived after twenty minutes, and the doctors do not know the sequelae she may have. She goes home and soon Claire sees that her daughter is not the same teenager. Further, she suspects that something from beyond may have returned with her. "Here After" (2024) is an Italian American movie directed by Robert Salerno with a promising storyline. Unfortunately, the screenplay is not good and the plot changes from an apparent horror story to a bland story of guilt. In the end, it is a disappointing film. My vote is five. See more Catherine R Jan 10 Totally flopped. I feel like they had a good idea but then decided to disappoint everyone. Acting was over the top for such a boring ending Wouldn't waste your time See more Sean G Jan 10 I really wanted to like this movie, but it was too slow, not at all scary, not suspenseful… the acting also seemed really bad. The story was good, and given different actors or film direction I think it could have been a really good movie. See more @JJBlade 12/03/2024 I really appreciated the refreshing approach they took with this movie. Connie Britton was amazing and the writing was done in a way that allowed you to route for the characters while sitting back and allowing the story to unfold in its own way. See more Sarfaraz A 10/23/2024 Sarah Conradt wrote the film, which is in both English and Italian, and Robert Salerno directed it. The film stars Connie Britton, Freya Hannan-Mills, and Giovanni Cirfiera. The film is about a woman (Connie) who teaches at a Catholic school where her daughter also studies, who is unable to talk for 10 years due to an accident. She enjoys playing the piano. One day, while bicycling she encounters an accident and after which she can now talk, but her conduct has changed from normal to cold-hearted. The film is promoted as horror, yet it is actually semi-psychological thriller. It is not something you should see or regret not watching. See more Read all reviews
