Young Herman (Anders Danielsen Lie) is diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that causes childhood baldness. Cast out by his classmates and bullied by older schoolchildren, Herman increasingly withdraws into a world of fantasy punctuated by dramatic behavioral shifts.
