The only heroic thing that the dog does is show some common sense when the humans make very dumb decisions ... There isn't much to like about this movie except the dog. And it's too bad this innocent dog was forced to be in this embarrassing mess. Go to Full Review

This is a heavy-handed adventure story about a dog in the wild, but kids will probably enjoy it. Go to Full Review

Lucille A Jun 17 Awful movie don’t waste your time. Blind idiot should just stay with the boat. Stupid premise bad acting lousy script. See more Don J Jun 8 This is a terrible movie. It is stupid and non believable. The great outdoor boy is clueless. The blind army guy would not leave the boat. What no idea where he is going. The whole plot is stupid and predictable. See more V S 09/07/2024 Absolutely fantastic family movie! The people that did not like this movie should not watch a movie that starts with ‘Hero Dog in the title. This is great family entertainment. The dog lives and the people are kind and likable. The plot is predictable but the title includes ‘a journey home’ so that should be what it is. I recommend this movie to anyone that wants to be entertained and enjoy a movie night with family or alone.- See more Leslie J 06/09/2024 The kid is supposed to be good at orienteering. He doesn’t have a compass he has a map. Seriously? See more Gary P 01/10/2024 Horrible movie, bad acting, bad directing, boring ,would be impossible in real life, the Alaskan Malamute was the only thing worth watching. Don't waste your time and electricity on this. $ 2,100,000 budget, it must have all been used to rent the helicopter, this much money for such a sorry, silly movie was ridiculous. See more Merrit B 12/07/2022 Great for kids. Super clean movie with some adorable performances. See more Read all reviews
