Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Not bad - but not impressive. Watch this film with your friends to make fun of the ugly animation. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Have you ever seen a hammer throw-up? One of Odin's old flames never got over the time he used to court her and became disinterested. Now Odin is a witless old man with one eye that has no idea she still has a grudge. Meanwhile, an Earth, a girl Odin impregnated is raising his son, Thor. One of Odin's inventions, a hammer, finds its way to Thor and starts training Thor to become a warrior. Meanwhile, the ex-flame is planning to take Odin's job as a god. This sounds like a perfect first adventure for our budding hero, Thor. "Did I win?" "Does it feel like you won?" Oskar Jonasson, director of 20/20, Pearls and Swine, Limbo, and Remote Control, delivers Legends of Valhalla: Thor. The storyline for this is okay and reminded me a little of Emperor's New groove mixed with Hercules. The animation style was awesome but the plot was fairly mediocre. The voices were well selected and fit the characters well. "I'm the last pain you'll ever feel." I grabbed this off Netflix for my daughter and I to watch together. We did find it interesting and adored the action sequences and animation style. The characters and plot were fairly clumsy and just okay but this is a nice addition to the genre. I do recommend watching this once with your kids but this wasn't as good as it could have been. "What idiot would ever use a hammer?"
