Synopsis
Nightclub singer Joan (Joan Edwards) joins forces with her unemployed friends Kip (Eddie Albert) and Ellen (Constance Moore) to form an act that they hope will take New York City by storm. On the cabaret scene, Kip's pseudo-intellectual songs tend to alienate audience members, but Ellen is noticed by a producer who wants to turn her into a movie star. Whisked off to Hollywood, Calif., she must choose between personal fame and her budding romance with the failed songwriter, Kip.
