Gene Autry (Gene Autry) is the new doctor in a rough frontier town torn apart by a feud between the area's miners and cattle ranchers. When he's not caring for his patients, Autry searches for the mysterious stranger who killed his father. He comes to the rescue of Karen McQueen (Elaine Riley) and tries to save her baby brother, but soon finds himself framed for murder. With the help of his friend Dusty Cosgrove (Pat Buttram), Autry sets out to clear his name and stop the fighting.
