Kevin Wight The Wee Review Hugely powerful as an attempt to communicate a profoundly unspeakable act. So soon after the event, it's a surgeon's finger pressed into a fresh wound, but this ensure its potency remains. Rated: 4 Jul 1, 2020 Full Review Panos Kotzathanasis Asian Movie Pulse Despite its obvious propagandistic, Anti-American nature, "Hiroshima" is a great film in all aspects, and a must-watch for anyone interested in the consequences of the atomic bomb in Japan. Vitoria F It is important to see historical facts from the points of view of all parties involved. Although this film only shows one point, it is the least remembered point, because it is opposite to the country that is the main hub for film production in the world. This film is very moving and a great example of post-war Japanese film production, especially in the hellscape sequence and the dramatized documentary style. It deserves attention the fact that it also blames the Japanese government for the abuse and neglect of the population during and after the war. It's not a film that shows the absolute truth, of course, but it shows true facts. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/08/23 Full Review william d Not really a movie. There is very little story arc or character development. The film is just a litany of the ill effects of the atomic bombing with some preaching thrown in. I don't pan movies for political reasons but I'm making an exception here. This movie is a blatant attempt to portray Japan as the victim in World War II.
