This was actually good. Definitely not a horror movie. But an exploration of sadness, depression and mental illness, very similar to Hereditary.

This was one of the worst horror films I have ever had the displeasure of watching. This film made me dislike both of the main characters through their general unlikable nature, especially the wife who was just pretty horrible and it was not scary at all. Just seemed like a commentary on refugees struggling rather than a horror film.

I liked this, you really want to root for the 2 main characters success, and feel for them for the circumstance they are in, it’s a nice paced story that makes some commentary of the need to shed old superstitions when moving into a Western culture from a different land. I hope the filmmaker makes more.

Beginning of the movie does a very good job of story building and getting familiar with the characters and you think you see the direction it’s going. The midele part of the movie feels repetitive and you know what’s going to happen next and all leading into an ending that left my jaw wide open in disbelief Solid start lackluster middle section and then the psychological horror starts to pick up at the end and really bringing you back into the movie
