His Only Son is the first feature-length film chronicling one of the most controversial moments in all of scripture--when the Lord God gave Abraham the ultimate test by commanding him to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, on the mountain of Moriah. Answering age-old questions as to why the Lord would require such a sacrifice, His Only Son profoundly explores mankind's relationship to God and encourages viewers to turn inward and ask: Can your faith still stand when you are asked to give everything?

David Griffiths Subculture Entertainment Holds its own for most of the film and draws the audience in but like a lot of faith-based films occasionally its script lets it down. Rated: 3/5 Dec 16, 2023 Full Review Alan Ng Film Threat The film faithfully tells Abraham’s story along with a very Christian ending and top-notch indie storytelling. Rated: 7/10 Apr 10, 2023 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix His Only Son is a worthy, low-budget drama about religious figure Abraham, when he was called by God to make his greatest sacrifice: the life of his son. The depiction of Abraham's troubled marriage gives this reverent movie some grit. Apr 7, 2023 Full Review Stephanie Myers Common Sense Media While the movie tries to demonstrate how obedience and faith will lead to blessings through Abraham's willingness to trust in God, it doesn't go deeply enough into why Abraham has this faith and belief. Rated: 3/5 Apr 5, 2023 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews The slight film is a bore, as it fully covers the Bible story and nothing else. Rated: C- Apr 5, 2023 Full Review Rachel Wagner rachelsreviews.net I appreciate His Only Son doesn't shy away from the troubling aspects of the story Rated: 6.5/10 Apr 5, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews
