Derek Malcolm London Evening Standard There's not enough of the music on view and the film would be a more effective portrait of that era if Ebersole had edited it more effectively. Rated: 2/5 Nov 16, 2012 Full Review Andy Tweddle Little White Lies Hit so-so hard. Rated: 3/5 Nov 15, 2012 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian Hit So Hard is a good title for the film. Courtney Love looks like someone determined to carry on doing the hitting. Rated: 3/5 Nov 15, 2012 Full Review Daniel Gumble CineVue A compelling story of rock 'n' roll excess from one of the genre's lesser known figures. Rated: 3/5 Feb 5, 2019 Full Review Sarah Gopaul Digital Journal Though it feels as if many of these scenes are included because they're a side of Cobain so rarely seen, the focus appropriately never strays far from Schemel. Sep 8, 2018 Full Review Terry Staunton Radio Times When the film does (eventually) focus on Schemel herself, it provides a fascinating insight into the pressures of the music business and a cautionary tale of life in the fast lane. Audience Member interesting. for anyone that really likes the 90's alt rock band Hole aka Courtney Love's old rock band. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member A well-made and entertaining look into the life of a passionate, punk drummer. It also has some interesting points about the gender gap in rock music and the music industry in general. Anyone who is a fan of the early 90s alternative music scene will find this film fascinating, especially since there are some great insights into the life of Kurt Cobain. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Kurdt is still alive and I know who he is. He still lives in Washington state. Thank you Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Great look behind the scenes of a band and a close one at a great person. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member A decent documentary, even though it is built with cheesy rockumentary cliches. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting story about the rise and fall of a drummer. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
