Dating coach Alex "Hitch" Hitchens (Will Smith) mentors a bumbling client, Albert (Kevin James), who hopes to win the heart of the glamorous Allegra Cole (Amber Valletta). I watched this on blu ray recently. I thought it was very entertaining, with engaging characters set in pleasant locations. Will Smith's charisma makes the film zip along effortlessly for the most part. The story is interesting, and has enough depth to give it some meaning. Over all I enjoyed watching and would recommend it. On a technical point, about 35 minutes in there is a scene at a marina which opens with a wide pan shot. I was watching the blu ray on my PS3 which is recognised as a great player, but this pan shot looked very stuttery and un-natural. I expected much better, and I'm thinking blu ray is not as good as it should be.
