The question is: do we need to be hauled through scene after scene of drab, dehumanized behavior so that we may see, or at least hear, humanity restored at the end? Go to Full Review

Moodysson comes on like de Sade crossed with Godard, yet by locking us outside of his characters, he fails to make them even contemptuously compelling. Go to Full Review

An experimental, transgressive work that pretty much fails on every level. Go to Full Review

Petros T @PetrosTserpelis 08/12/2021 You probably haven't seen a lot of films like this one, I'll give that to Moodysson. But the audiovisual unconventionality isn't paired with any discernible, articulate message; instead, we are treated to hollow characters, spasmodic editing and random artsy-fartsy shots. The end result is nowhere near as shocking or provocative as it wants to think it is; it's bizarre, unrewarding and even boring. See more 01/26/2020 Este filme é visceral. Um soco na boca do estômago, literalmente! See more 09/07/2014 One of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. See more 10/24/2012 Thoroughly disturbing images and no script at all. It does come with some interesting use of music and jump cuts. In the extras of the DVD it has documented an arguement between the actors and director about no directions being given from Lukas Moodysson. Strange thing to have in your DVD, Lukas. See more Justin W @astromartin84 10/27/2011 Aside from the (female) friend that recommended the film to me, I can't think of a single person in my life that I could encourage to watch this. It felt way more profound than the typical experimental film... but is definitely not for the faint of heart or even the average "challenging cinema" crowd. It's about as unsettling as they come, but Moodysson (who's always humane) finds some way to ground even this in compassion. See more 07/27/2011 A pity ... this is even more disgusting/disturbing than "Lilja forever", but "Lilja forever" at least had a purpose! This one just left me with an indifferent shrug. I think Moodysson has proven that he can do better. See more Read all reviews
