SkyRo P #MovieReview #hollywoodstargirl #DisneyPlus So Disney+ released Hollywood star girl which is the sequel to star girl The first movie was entertaining, and this movie was entertaining but it had a lot of slow points and a lot of plot holes, it wasn't as exciting as the first movie when it was over. It felt like more of a Disney Channel original movie rather than a any plus original film, I really do not like her hair cut that short, it just did not fit in my opinion But overall it's a cute little movie, I wouldn't watch it again, but maybe there's a fan base out there Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/06/24 Full Review Kyle M May not be wondrously fresh like before, but this original sequel exploratively treats the young, cheerful heroine as her own chapter surrounded by a remarkable cast contributing to the familiarly artistic heartening resonance as thematic alignment. (B+) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/05/23 Full Review Connie & Ray S Terrific! A heartwarming family film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/21/23 Full Review Gilbert F Grace VanderWaal is the perfect fit for this movie. Although made by a Disney affiliate it feels like a well made indie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/27/23 Full Review Peter B I rewatched this and it really holds up. I enjoyed her journey from a lonely child dependent on her mother (who is busy and stressed at work) to a young woman who is building a future in the world and able to support her mother as an equal. The songs Love and Mercy and Dreaming are my favourites but all the songs are great. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/22/23 Full Review Ferdinand A. E I really like that they cast Grace Vanderwall as Stargirl. Her singing was exceptional. For the movie, I really like that they created a sequel to the original Stargirl movie. I also like that they focused more on the life of Stargirl. Overall, I really like it, I wish that they created another sequel to this movie. Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times Grace VanderWaal returns as the infectiously sweet singer, now starstruck and lovestruck. Rated: 3/4 Jun 11, 2022 Full Review Noel Murray Los Angeles Times As with “Stargirl,” there’s a bone-deep decency to this sequel that’s pretty disarming. Jun 3, 2022 Full Review Kate Erbland indieWire A suitably quirky and sweet sequel that builds on the Stargirl mythos with nothing but good intentions. Rated: B- Jun 2, 2022 Full Review Maxance Vincent InSession Film Let’s be honest: no one asked for Hollywood Stargirl. The first film had very little emotional attachment and depth to hold the audience’s interest, and the same can be said for the sequel. Rated: D Mar 6, 2024 Full Review Rachel Wagner Rachel's Reviews (YouTube) A huge improvement over the original film. Shows a teen character with warmth and humanity. Dec 31, 2022 Full Review Ruth Maramis FlixChatter Film Blog A charming and wholesome movie boasting gorgeous singing and hummable songs. Grace VanderWaal is a charismatic protagonist who looks lovely and sounds even better. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 3, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
