Its spiritual themes skillfully blending Christianity and Māori symbolism, the film is a giddy, joyful ride graced by the luminous presence of a vintage 1965 Holden station wagon, which will please latent motorheads no end.

A very good movie - heart warming, funny, some very good "reminders" (life lessons) for all. If you're hyper religious, don't take offense - remember it's just a movie that reminds us all that we're human and in need of some type of redemption.

Disappointing given the array of talent on board. Tired storyline (the drunk and betting priest, really?) and too much religious nonsense for this viewer. Missed so many marks and comedic delivery apart from Miriam Margolyes was just not there. The child lead didn’t do anything to aid the movie. Even the director taking a role couldn’t save this one. So many better films on offer at present.

A very sweet, heartwarming film. Nice to see at a time in the world that seems so dark and sad. Lovely performance by the three female leads and the young boy. Can’t beat the NZ scenery! Good on the Canadian and NZ backers for helping to get this one made!
