Audience Member Mickey Rooney stars in the made for TV movie Home for Christmas. When a young girl befriends a homeless man her family ends up taking him in for the holidays. The story is a little trite and sentimental, but that's somewhat to be expected for this type of holiday film. Also, the acting is rather lackluster, though Rooney has a certain charm and charisma. But it's really the music more than anything else that drags the film down with its intrusiveness and obvious emotional cues. Home for Christmas is a mediocre holiday film full of all the usual tropes and clichés. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member From the cheesy plot line to the overacting, this film is disappointing. Definitely not a Christmas classic. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Overall is a good film. Of course it has the usual contrived plot twists one can expect, but they are passable. Mickey Rooney and the rest of the cast do a great job and you really feel sympathy for most of the characters. Good fun for the family. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
