StephenPaul C The greatest 01 hour: and 28 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Featuring the voice of Steve Guttenberg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the first movie's voice talents of Michael J. Fox as Chance, and Sally Field as Sassy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/17/23 Full Review Chris M There is only one reason this sequel exists. The first movie made money. If they had to make a sequel I wish they had a better story than Chance being annoying. Like the animals were take by taken. Looking at their property they obvious have some money. The animals break free of their captures and try to get through San Francisco that way. With kidnappers after them. That would worked better than the humans not sedating the animals, which is recommended. Or Chance's crate breaking open so fucking easily. Speaking of the villains, the street dogs are cliché and the roaming goons who sell any unattended dogs to illegal testing is creepy and felt tacked on. As they are barely in it. The animalnappers makes more sense. Plus this one is slower. But it's not horrible, just a step down from the first movie. It's funny and the animals are cute. It's still worth checking out, especially if you love the first one. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/16/23 Full Review Audience Member It was a pretty enjoyable and very fun Disney live-action movie sequel. It had very well done cinematography, very superb cast, really phenomenal characters, very good comedy, really exciting adventure, very cool action, really wonderful music and a very excellent story. It’s not as good as the first “Homeward Bound” movie, but I enjoyed it. Fans of “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey” will enjoy this movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review derek l Homeward Bound's sequel doesn't exactly quite hit the heights of where the original was able to achieve. Kevin McManus Washington Post The tone is ideal for a family audience. The length is perfect. And the sequence of last-minute surprises elicits tears and laughter in just the right proportions. Apr 2, 2003 Full Review Stephen Holden New York Times It does a better job than most family films in projecting a child's-eye view of a world where siblings and pets are equally cherished members of the family.
