It's a typical story that you would see in a Hallmark Channel movie with a happy ending but the quality of the acting, camera work and location is much better. I remember Shelley Long from Cheers but haven't seen her in anything for a long time so it was nice to see her in this. She and Jack Scalia had nice chemistry. Jack has aged really well compared to Shelley. (I wish all men his age looked like him!) Virginia Williams was very believable as Shelley's daughter. Edward Finlay's acting was a little over the top but maybe it was the dialogue he had to work it. There are probably similar movies out there that are better but this was not bad at all. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Inoffensive tv movie about a girl jilted at the alter who ends up taking her "honeymoon" with her mother, with whom she has a strained relationship. Along the way they get to understand each other better. Started off okay, but gradually gets duller, picking up again towards the end. I liked Shelly Long in this as the mother, and Virginia Williams who plays the daughter is also very pleasant and well suited to a light chick flick. I am surprised she hasn't been in a few more. It's not the deepest movie ever made, but it was okay to have on in the background. Scenery is very pretty on the "honeymoon" also.
