Adam Woodward Little White Lies A sensitive, solidly made portrait of neglect and terminal social decay. Rated: 3/5 May 7, 2015 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian Johnson paints a picture of abuse, machismo and paranoia, mixing true-crime, urban-realist melodrama with a photolove nightmare. Rated: 4/5 May 7, 2015 Full Review David Parkinson Empire Magazine Despite a strong central performance this is undermined somewhat by melodramatic plotting and gauche characterisation. Rated: 2/5 May 4, 2015 Full Review Craig Williams CineVue Honeytrap is a finely crafted picture that may be one of the most recently vital films extolling the virtues and dangers of modern British black girlhood. Audience Member With a captivating lead performance and an all too real situation depicting social decay, Honeytrap is a streamlined, gritty street drama with some hard-to-watch scenes. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Seriously screw this movie. She didn't have to do homeboy like that. He actually cared for her. And she chose that fake showboy!!!!!! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member THIS WAS SUCH A GREAT MOVIE !! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member the girl was beautiful but she was abandoned by her mom and molested by her grandfather which made her incapable of loving a decent man because we accept the love we think we deserve and her capacity for love was minimized before she knew what love meant. throughout the movie she was abused mentally, emotionally, and physically. she attempted suicide and contemplated it daily. this movie was so sad and complex and I can't even digest it. #shook Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Rebecca Johnson was impressive in the directing of this film. This movie contains so much power as it shows the main character Layla desperately looking to fit in. She helps to paint this picture through abuse and paranoia. Furthermore, it shows her downfall as she constantly succumbs to peer pressure. If you're looking for a captivating movie to watch, you should give this film a shot. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is one of the BEST movies I have EVER seen.... Left me in tears.... I 100% recommend it.... Please please please go watch it....
