Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times A criminally inept throwback to '90s urban gangsta movie posturing that plays like a stone-faced version of the 1996 Wayans brothers spoof, "Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood." Feb 15, 2018 Full Review Glenn Kenny New York Times For all of its failings, the movie sometimes manages to bring a scary whiff of the street into its sounds and images. michael k Being a fan on this genre of gritty gangster movies I didn't expect it to be paid in full but it was so low budget and bad. The dialogue was laughable count how many times they talk about honor Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It was a piece of crap. The stories jumped from scene to scene without much structure. I couldn't really see a solid plot. The characters were underdeveloped. The acting was horrible. The actors were too old for the roles. It was a waste of money and time--would have done better as a book. The only reason I'm giving it a star is out of respect for Dame Dash. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This Was Great Movie Speaks Truth And For Those Who Don't Know The Code Expect You To Not Like It Cause Your Not Honorable To Understand Our Life And Our World. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This had to be the single worst movie ever made by Damon Dash. The Room, still takes the cake for worst movie of all time, but this right here?! This right here,, Mr. Dash.. com'on! You brought us State Property and for the Lord's sake, PAID IN FULL! YOU MADE PAID IN FULL!!!!! HOW DO YOU GO FROM THAT TO THIS! TAKE YOUR TIME, WRITE A SCRIPT WITH A BEGINNING MIDDLE AND END AND MAKE IT EPIC... AGAIN!!!! You did it once, and twice but why is it, you can't do it again? Make some noise, make a motion picture not a low budget NYU project. Email me: hamilton.matthewdavid@gmail.com SERIOUSLY because with my script and your vision we could make history. You're a smart man and into making money, so LET'S MAKE SOME MONEY Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a c-list level movie. Very low production level which I found kinda shocking after seeing past Dame Dash films. Plot is very difficult to follow and there are odd voice overs. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/04/18 Full Review Audience Member Wonderful movie, be honorable in whatever you do. If you know then you know. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/18 Full Review Read all reviews
