Jenny Nulf Austin Chronicle A lot of great ideas, but the storytelling needed some fine-tuning. Mar 17, 2024 Full Review Josh Goller Spectrum Culture Despite potent sociocultural elements to work with, Hood Witch is unable to conjure a spellbinding story. Rated: 2.75/5 Mar 26, 2025 Full Review Joe Botten Loud and Clear Reviews Belktibia’s confident direction, paired with Farahani’s spellbinding performance, makes this tale of resilience timely, unnerving, and deeply engrossing. Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 24, 2025 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film It’s the acting that carries it, and naturally Farahani, one of the finest talents of her generation, does not disappoint. Rated: 4/5 Mar 21, 2025 Full Review Mark Dujsik Mark Reviews Movies It's a solid thriller that's also cunning in being about more than thrills. Rated: 3/4 Mar 21, 2025 Full Review Hannah Gearan Screen Rant As much as I love Golshifteh Farahani, even she could not save the mess of a movie that was the thriller Hood Witch.
