Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com Lilly Fleur-Pointeaux is nearly flawless. Rated: 3.5/4.0 Sep 11, 2020 Full Review Britt Hayes Birth.Movies.Death. A film that thinks it's way smarter than it is, and in doing so, sets itself up for failure by creating an expectation it can't possibly satisfy, insulting your intelligence in the process. ricardo d O filme tem seu charme no quesito fotografia. Algumas cenas são bem desenhadas e enquadradas, quase como uma dança. Seria perfeito, mas quando se coloca dentro do roteiro, se perde num filme cansativo e enrolado. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Horsehead is an artfully crafted movie with some stylistic nods to both Dario Argento and Mario Bava and an unnerving Lynchian nightmare weirdness. If you're open to something strange and out of the ordinary, if you crave nightmarish cinema dripping with dread, Horsehead comes recommended. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Horsehead is a movie that doesn't give you any breathing space as it immediately jumps straight in. It's kind of exhausting because we now get a straightforward plot that tries to unravel a mystery for the upcoming 90 minutes. While it isn't really erotic, it does include some elements, which I didn't mind, but didn't make much sense either. That being said, there are some beatiful shots and I believe the story had potential. Unfortunately Horsehead leaves you confused after an anticlimatic ending with many questions left unsolved. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member HorseHead walks some inspiring and tough grounds, as it artistic intentions often conflict with its "student film" look and its bizzarre acting and directing issues. The movie has plenty of interesting moments that contrast roughly with the more clichéd and dumb horror movie moments, and by the end, Horse Head is more of an experiment that is up to the viewer to accept or not. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member surreal, strange and sublime. Lillly-Fleur Pointeaux, has a cracking body on her though. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Romain Basset may be aiming to create a Argento-esque horror movie, but it looks more like an extended 1990's video for NIN and Marilyn Manson by Mark Romanek or Floria Sigismondi. But that is being too generous. While he has managed to stretch a very small budget to create some amazing looking set-ups -- he fails to focus on plot and dialogue. Basset also appears to want to be "surrealist" and "avant-garde" without really understanding what either actually means. The movie fails to be either interesting or scary. It only succeeds in being stupid with some lush dressing. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
