Audience Member I saw this U.S. short at the 2013 Cleveland International Film Fest. Some archival clips of New York street scenes in the '40s and the rat-a-tat-tat style dialog establish the time and place of this short. The one room location and prevalence of constant dialog suggest that this was a student theater project at one time, or that it could be a one-act stage production. The three roommates, one newly arrived in the big city from rural Wisconsin, have very risque and funny discussions. There is a lot of screwball comedy slang and sexual slang that never made it past the censors back in the '40's. One spoiler that is not really a spoiler once you've seen the first couple minutes is that the two main roommates are lesbians, stereotypical male fantasy lesbians.
