When monsters want to get away from it all, they go to Count Dracula's (Adam Sandler) Hotel Transylvania, a lavish resort where they can be themselves without humans around to bother them. On one special weekend, Dracula invites creatures like the Invisible Man, the Mummy and others to celebrate the 118th birthday of his daughter, Mavis (Selena Gomez). When I watched movies as a child, I just watched them for the fun. Now that I am older and can watch them for more reasons, I think I can say this is one of my favorite animated films of all-time. The characters are funny, the plot works, and the pacing was great. A movie that defined my childhood!

Not a movie I return to but still better than I thought it was going to be, Hotel Transylvania is a decent family film that isn't very funny but is somewhat charming. Definitely one for kids, but I would revisit a few hundred other animated films before I watch this again.

Seriously the best animated horror movie for all ages. Fun and ironic as we humans can be scared of monsters, but monsters are scared of us, making it look like the reason why we don’t see them.

*Hotel Transylvania* is an absolute delight, earning a solid 3.5 stars. This franchise brings a lot of charm, with a voice cast that's spot-on. Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, and Andy Samberg shine, bringing humor and personality to their characters. The animation is vibrant and lively, capturing the spooky yet fun atmosphere of the monster world. Every scene is packed with energy, making it highly entertaining from start to finish. Yes, the story is cliché and predictable, but it’s hard to mind when it’s this much fun. The jokes land well, appealing to both kids and adults, with plenty of visual gags and clever dialogue. It's the perfect movie for family viewing, offering something for everyone to enjoy. While it doesn't break new ground, the fun vibe, lovable characters, and fantastic animation make it a memorable ride. A perfect pick for a light, entertaining watch.
