Carlos I @carlosFibarra May 19 How do I not remember this movie, like at all? Death Screams (1982) has every single element that should have made it an absolute staple in my horror rotation, yet it somehow completely slipped through the cracks. It must have been pretty wack to leave zero impression, because on paper, I should have absolutely loved its late night slasher vibes, small town carnival setting, and classic body count tropes. Instead, it plays out like a totally forgotten fever dream, proving that even a movie with all the right ingredients can somehow manage to be entirely, bafflingly forgettable. Nothing happens for the greater part of the runtime and when it does it's mostly underwhelming. This cast deserves a better movie. See more 07/02/2012 If you really love golden-age slasher films and always crave more, then you will probably enjoy House of Death (as I did). If not, then I will say it is a slow, badly shot, poorly lighted horror film that doesn't have near enough death scenes. Most of the death happens way too late in the film to keep the viewer interested along the way, and the murky lighting robs everything of its intended punch. See more Read all reviews
