Audience Member Documentary about age and the hunt for a long lasting life. Naturally there are no answers here, but the key seem to stay happy and postitive. We meet some very freaky people, some interesting people, some very smart people and some dumber fellas. Impressive ages and a cool documentary, but it's never a big film. 5.5 out of 10 long bearded men canoeing with a stick and a beer. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member The best part of the movie is an interview with an Irish 103- year old smoking, beer-drinking marathoner. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Some great tips for how to live a better life and some really inspiring stories. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Amusing and enjoyable. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Fairly well made, mildly engaging. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Funny and quirky and ultimately thought provoking. The best part is being along for the ride into Mark Wexler's mind as he contemplates the surface topics (aging and preventing aging) and reveals the subterranean topics (living, spirituality, relationships.) Ty Burr Boston Globe A cheerfully rambling documentary that's much more thought-provoking than the sum of its parts. Rated: 3/4 Aug 18, 2011 Full Review Adam Bernstein Washington Post A moderately ingratiating, none too probing and largely predictable essay on the way people fear and embrace their senior years. Rated: 1.5/4 Jul 29, 2011 Full Review Mick LaSalle San Francisco Chronicle Wexler gets tired of his own movie near the end of it. The viewer will get tired in 15 minutes. Rated: 1/4 Jul 7, 2011 Full Review Bill Newcott AARP Movies for Grownups A wonderfully funny, thoughtful exploration of what it means to get older, the extremes to which people go to hold off the effects of aging … and the vexing question: How old is old enough? Rated: 4/5 Apr 1, 2023 Full Review Chris Faraone Boston Phoenix An expert documentary, a responsible yet lighthearted film about the absurd things that folks do in the face of death. Rated: 3/4 Aug 17, 2011 Full Review Chris Hewitt St. Paul Pioneer Press I don't know "How to Live Forever," but I can say you're better off not wasting the time you have watching the documentary with that title.
