      Leaburn O Another Monroe film about marrying a rich man. The early 50s seemed to be obsessed with this issue. Not great but some banter along the way. Watched on a DVD that hung around the house for an age. Marilyn Monroe shows she is a particularly gifted comedienne with her part of a near-sighted woman too reluctant to wear her glasses for fear of a man rejecting her over her looks. This leads to increasingly funny disasters-first when she walks into a wall in her own apartment, next when she's spotted reading a hardcover book upside down, and finally when-I shouldn't spoil it but I must-she boards a plane for Atlantic City, only to learn, halfway to her destination, that she got on a plan to Kansas City. Very funny movie with some great scenery of New York City, its skylines and river views, at its finest. Every single one of her movies is delightful thanks to her beautiful face and charming personality.
