Graduate student Alice Gilman (Portia Chellelynn, Hematic Web) is running from an abusive past. She seeks refuge in the infamous Hannah house; a historic home with an ominous past. Determined to prove the possibility of alternate dimensions, she unknowingly unlocks a gateway to unimaginable horror. Facing a series of bizarre and violent events, Alice is plagued by nightmarish dreams of these evil entities. the film relies on stale Satanic and witch-coven horror tropes borrowed heavily from Roman Polanski’s “Rosemary’s Baby” (1968) and Robert Eggers’ “The Witch” (2015).

There’s a chance none of the loose bits and bobs are filler and they’re supposed to be structural plot points, but in the hands of director Bobby Easley, they appear as throwaway bits of cotton shoved in drafty corners where the joins don’t quite meet.

For a cheezy movie, the Witch House does a decent job of keeping the viewer interested. The acting and special effectts aren't where the need to be, but it is worth watching if you have time to kill.

This movie introduces original bad backstory, original bad characters, budget visuals, bad camera and even worse sound. Episode from Masters of Horror takes some liberties, but is waaay better then this.
