See more 01/23/2015 Very well made concise documentary of the Black Panther's attempts to have Huey Newton freed. Some of the stats - 80% of a prison's population is black for example - do not seem to have changed much since 1968. See more 03/19/2011 A very good short documentary about the Black Panthers' rally to free Huey Newton. As objective as one can expect for a documentary, the director being the unlikely Agnes Varda (who makes it clear that she has no love of the Oakland police) who manages to document the situation and overall idealogy of the Panthers without a gross need to instruct the viewer how to feel about it.
