Critics Consensus

While Ang Lee's ambitious film earns marks for style and an attempt at dramatic depth, there's ultimately too much talking and not enough smashing.

Gareth v Ang Lee's first effort in taking on a superhero tale is a real misstep and disappointment. A dull slog. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/12/25 Full Review Mitch B I love the action, the cast and the story and the Hulk looks like I think he should look. Great movie. Not a masterpiece, but I love it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/24/25 Full Review Shay W In some ways it's a bit of a mess, but the sequences where he first transforms into the Hulk and battles the Tanks and Helicopters are actually quite beautifully staged and filmed. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/06/25 Full Review Laércio S Melhor filme do hulk de todos, ele e muito subestimado.
