I ask you: Is this not the correct way, the honorable way, for a studio to spend $150 million of its summer capital? Universal said The Hulk, and Lee heard something else, perhaps a story of dysfunctional families torn apart by ambition.

For audiences ever fatigued by superhero movies cranked out like fast food, Hulk tastes like gourmet cuisine. Time has been kind to Hulk. Today, a movie often cited as one of the worst of its genre plays a lot more like one of the best.

I cannot put to words how much I hate this movie. And hulk is my favourite avenger. All I’ll say is, acting is shit, dialogue is shit, story is shit, I HATE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH PEOPLE FORCE ME TO WATCH IT AS A PUNISHMENT.

Hulk (2003) starring Eric Bana is a fun but uneven adaptation of the iconic Marvel character. The film tries to explore Bruce Banner’s psychological turmoil and his complicated relationship with his father, which is an interesting angle, but the screenplay often feels disjointed and wobbly. Eric Bana delivers a decent performance, showing vulnerability and inner conflict, but he doesn’t fully capture the intensity needed to make the Hulk transformation feel genuinely terrifying or compelling. Jennifer Connelly does her best to anchor the film emotionally as Betty Ross, though the chemistry between the leads is inconsistent, and supporting characters feel underdeveloped. Director Ang Lee takes bold stylistic risks, especially with CGI and action sequences, which are impressive for their time but occasionally overdone and distracting. Overall, the movie is entertaining in parts, with flashes of creativity and action, but it lacks cohesion, leaving it as a curious yet flawed

Never have I seen such a blatant abuse of split-screens in a movie. This felt more like a sci-fi thriller rather than a superhero movie, and there were a lot of aspects of the movie that just didn't make sense. Despite its flaws, there were a lot of really awesome action scenes in this movie, and I believe that some of the Hulk's best live-action capabilities are displayed here. This movie was really enjoyable, but it wasn't as good as The Incredible Hulk from 2008. I definitely recommend it for superhero fans!
