It is not hunky dory at all. Instead, it is half-baked and tiresome. Go to Full Review

Golden-hued, feel-good treacle, the sort that the U.K. has tried to export ever since Billy Elliot. Go to Full Review

The golden-hued cinematography (a filming clich that really needs to be retired) and the sometimes slack direction by Marc Evans are minuses ... Go to Full Review

Isn't trying to be anything more than it simply is, a kindhearted film about a friendly, progressive minded teacher helping kids explore emotions through art. Go to Full Review

The musical performances lack the energy and gloss of shows like Glee, but what you see here is more like what you'd experience at an average high school musical. Go to Full Review

12/08/2018 Clever and interesting little film See more 05/17/2018 Beautiful, nostalgic, heartfelt. Loved it! See more 09/17/2017 Good film lots of great music See more 02/15/2015 Some seriously sniffy reviews here, well I loved it! You could probably argue that the drama doesn't quite live up to the sparkling Welsh school recreations of 70s classic songs but it's never less than heartfelt. In the end Minnie Driver is so good at this sort of role and any film which ends with a recreation of 'Life on Mars' is always going to win me round. I was really charmed from start to finish. See more 12/29/2014 An uplifting coming-of-age story with a great soundtrack. It just feels a little too written-for-the-screen rather than a genuine story from the 1970's.
