Dennis Harvey Variety Husk lacks much originality but serves up its combo plate of genre tropes with above-average flair and intensity on modest means. Jan 28, 2011 Full Review Scott Weinberg FEARnet Not terrible, but the 27-minute version was better. Rated: 2.5/5 Sep 6, 2011 Full Review Heather Wixson Dread Central What Director Brett Simmons does effectively as a storyteller is establish a believable back-story to these creatures and pull you right into the victims' world with well-paced energy and some really great moments of tension. Rated: 3/5 Aug 10, 2011 Full Review Jeremy Heilman MovieMartyr.com Suspense is valued here over gore, and it must be noted that the brief final scene manages to be genuinely eerie. Rated: 54/100 Jul 12, 2011 Full Review R.L. Shaffer IGN DVD Runs through all the same cliches, but Husk has it's interesting twists and turns, and plenty of atmosphere. Logan D A group of young people get stranded outside a corn field. Have they never seen a horror film???? Do not go thru the corn field! Not very original. I did love the upper room of the farm house and the backstory. I wonder what would occur if they circumvented the corn field. It's a low budget film so I can excuse some aspects but it's not a must see film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/18/24 Full Review Liam D An effective supernatural slasher that has some very creepy moments Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/25/24 Full Review Emilliano Jr S A low budget, horror B movie that will never disappoints you. My expectations were low, but I was surprised how good it was. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/17/24 Full Review Stephanie R Definitely not a bad movie at all. I've seen it a couple of times. The acting is not bad. Better than a lot of so called "scary" movies. It has that eerie feel to it and some jump scares. Not a bad watch. I recommend it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Not a great horror movie, but it does pass the time. It keeps you heart racing with suspense, and it gives the feeling of a slasher movie and not supernatural. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member I Think i Enjoy So Many Scene Can make me Excited But i think Plot Just a little bit bad But Worse Things is Weird Character's Brain (Imagine 200IQ Guy Able to solve calculus in 5 min but Use 40 min for answer how much 2x2 equals lol.)
