This movie didn't get the attention it deserves with competition like "Ringu" and the likes. It's a unique and entertaining spin on the J-horror genre. A veteran detecive and a young psychiatrist team up to investigate a string of strange suicides that might have been caused by hypnosis. You'll be mesmerized by the story (pun very much intented). Great colorful imagery, wacky and suspenseful at the same time.

what starts out as a murder thriller using hypnotics as its motive, some good moments although sometimes dull turns into more of a typical asian horror for second half, some interesting deaths on show, although most are aftermaths, but still pretty gory, the film works well for most part

Pretty weird horror film. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but I found myself confused with it.

An intriguing mystery that will genuinly scare you if the silly moments don't deter you first. Stick with this movie; some scenes and facial expressions almost seem out of place and may cause a burst of laughter; at times it appeared to me the lead detective wondered to himself (and the audience) what he was doing in this type of movie. The further the viewer is immersed in the story however, the ultimate hidden secret is revealed and has a chilling effect. This is an uneven movie, but original in concept with an interesting premise even if at times the execution of the story is shaky; the last twenty minutes will frighten you~~~~~
