Larushka Ivan-Zadeh metro.co.uk [An] unforgettably moving documentary. Rated: 4/5 Sep 5, 2017 Full Review Ben Sachs Chicago Reader Because directors Emma Davie (Platt's widow) and Morag McKinnon spend little time explaining his medical condition, the video doesn't function as a case study. Jan 30, 2014 Full Review Eddie Cockrell Variety Emma Davie and Morag McKinnon deliver an achingly reflective look at the life of a man struggling with ALS. Sep 17, 2013 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru Heartbreaking and profound. You'll be balling your eyes out, unless you're made of stone. Rated: 8.45/10 Sep 6, 2013 Full Review Christopher Schobert The Playlist ...I Am Breathing is not a documentary intended to induce sobbing. Audience Member At first glance, I was expecting a fly on the wall documentary, consisting of general nonsense family banter. As the movie progressed I found myself watching a true hero. This guy never bleated or felt too sorry for himself. In fact throughout his illness people appeared to be acting with the same attitude towards Neil throughout. True companionship. Difficult to watch towards the end , as you might expect Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member A difficult documentary to endure, as it is the final days of a young person's life as they succumb to a terrible illness. I couldn't help but feel annoyed by some of the unfortunate man's decisions though, notably baring a child fully in the knowledge of the risks involved. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Brutal documentary about the last days of someone dying from Motor Neurones Disease. Incredible support from an extraordinary family Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member A devastatingly touching documentary highlighting the last months of Motor Neurone Disease sufferer Neil Platt. A real cry to more research and attention for MND. www.imnda.ie and www.mndscotland.org.uk Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
