Two bounty hunter brothers encounter an ailing old man named Rodney Bonnifield while coordinating his bail after a violent encounter on a dairy farm involving a machete. Close to his sentencing, he reveals to the bondsmen that he is in fact the infamous DB Cooper, the man responsible for the 1971 plane hijacking in the Pacific Northwest, and the ransom cash is still buried along the Columbia River. Up against the clock with Rodney's prison sentence looming, the group sets out on a modern-day treasure hunt to recover the money he buried near the river 50 years ago, uncovering bizarre truths about Rodney Bonnifield and his connection to the only unsolved plane hijacking in U.S. history.

It mixes docudrama and documentary to give one theory about the hijacker’s identity. At least, that’s the one way of looking at it. Another, more accurate way is that this film has no credibility from the start, and barely any entertainment value to boot.

Is he really the fugitive DB Cooper? For people old enough to have lived through the story of his hijacking a plane in 1971, bailing out and disappearing, that dominated the headlines for several weeks, if not months, it’s an interesting supposition.

I've always been intrigued by the story of the infamous D.B. Cooper skyjacking and mystery of his getaway or demise. I was really excited to watch this "mockumentary" but learned quickly that it was trash. I have to say that Rodney Bonnifield reminds me of an old chronic BS artist that I work with. The scripted story that overlays Bonnifield's story is rubbish and unbelievable as well. I wish I could get my 5 dollars back that I paid to rent this chunk of cr*p. Don't waste your time and money.

Absolutely intriguing! This documentary captures the many questions we STILL ASK TO THIS DAY surrounding the infamous DB Cooper. I love how the film intertwined fiction into this documentary. It was a brilliant mix to give the audience a glimpse into what possibly went down back in 1971 paired with a fascinating documentary twist of current day Rodney Bonnifield claiming to be DB Cooper. I was hooked on hearing everything Rodney Bonnifield had to say!
