Audience Member The greatest 01 hour: and 31 minutes with real footage!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member It was a beautiful film that ultimately felt like a missed opportunity to dive deeper into the main subject matter. The cinematography, score, editing, character storylines, testimonials… these elements were all fantastic but something just felt missing throughout the film. Scenes such as Bill training on how to use Braingate 2… THAT felt like it deserved way more time and attention. Yet they'd simply cut out of that within moments and return to yet another vague testimonial soundbite. Instead of interviewing Bryan Johnson, I wish they'd interviewed Max Hodak. Why was Neuralink left completely out of this? Again, SO many beautiful elements in this film… but honestly I'd find myself skipping through scenes (of beautifully shot b-roll) to simply get more information. The podcast "Stop Scrolling!" recently interviewed a former Neuralink employee Han Zhang… and literally within the first few minutes, Han's ideas are mindblowing. I wish this doc had been full of moments like that, instead of hearing Bryan Johnson say for the 30th time that we are in the midst of another cognitive revolution. I've seen interviews with John Donoghue where he's touched on a variety of topics within BCI that were all equally fascinating... yet in his interviews here, it was as if the director...didn't know what to ask? Donoghue's soundbites all seemed so sparse and surface level. It was a shame to have had access to these interesting people and not ask them interesting questions. Again it felt strange to both like and dislike a documentary simultaneously. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member An intriguing look into how technology can improve the lives of those who once had no hope for a better life. This documentary sheds light on the bright side of what technology can do to improve the human condition~ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I Am Human is not only a study of the technology trends and fascinating engineering treatment options, but each characters story throughout the film was heart gripping and truly stated why studies like these are so important. I absolutely recommend I Am Human to anyone in Bioengineering; or who are curious about the possibilities when technology and humanity merge to solve a need. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/21/20 Full Review Audience Member I got chills seeing where we're headed, goosebumps of awe, and this movie definitely made me cry. (In a good way!) If you're interested in biotech, AI, and transhumanism; or you have a loved one with a brain disorder, blindness, or paralysis; "I Am Human" is a must-watch. There is so much hope in the future of medicine. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member A thought-provoking examination of humanity and technology...some of the scenes simply mindblowing. I learned a lot and have found myself talking about the film with more than a few friends in the past week. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Read all reviews
