A by-the-numbers slasher that arrived a decade too late, the mostly tedious I Know What You Did Last Summer will likely only hook diehard fans of the genre.

This movie lacks all of the elements that made [Scream]... a fun ride -- namely humor, suspense and good acting, Go to Full Review

It's a nifty piece of writing, even if the absence of psychological underpinnings mean that it's not much more than an exercise in popular mechanics. Go to Full Review

Unusually emphatic in its giggling assault on the young and all they stand for—sex, dreams, hopes, high spirits, and, in particular, the supplanting of their elders. Go to Full Review

William F @Snickerpippets Dec 20 Although some may find enjoyment in the film’s safe and stereotypical plot and jump scares, it contains lackluster kills, boring characters and lazy twist villain that will leave slasher enthusiasts unsatisfied, watch Scream instead See more Zach B @ZachBasham67 Dec 8 I loved this movie! It wasn’t perfect, but it was great. Sarah Michelle Geller steals the show alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt See more Jack F @MovieFan111 Dec 2 No, don't watch it. It's nothing new, and it's stupid. I know it built a mid reputation around itself, but it's all mostly bad. There's better things to watch. See more Khaztiel Delbod D @khaztielddenver_ Nov 29 Me gustó vaya que me mantuvo entretenido, el final no fue de mi agrado pero en si una de mis favoritas. See more Maksim S @MaksimusMovies Nov 28 I Know What You Did Last Summer is a quintessential ’90s teen slasher, full of suspense, mystery, and the hallmarks of the genre. While it doesn’t break new ground in horror, it succeeds as a nostalgic throwback, delivering the thrills and scares that fans of teen scream films expect. The young cast is charming and relatable, and the killer’s looming presence keeps tension steady throughout. The plot is predictable at times, and some scares rely on familiar jump-scare tropes, but the film’s nostalgic energy and teen drama give it a fun, enduring appeal. Not revolutionary, but enjoyable for its era—I Know What You Did Last Summer remains a classic slice of teen horror nostalgia.
