It is similar story with a foreign twist. It is not as good as its predecessor, but it is compelling and frightening. The acting is decent and the the Direction is good for a limited budget. The biggest issue I have with the movie, but it may not necessarily bee gratuitous is the insanely graphic violence and brutal sex in the movie. To me it made it unwatchable, because I am squeamish. However, for the fans of graphic horror this may be normal. I think the mark of good hour is if it it has lasting impact and this was disturbing enough to do that for sure.
