A year after killing vengeful hit-and-run victim Ben Wills (Muse Watson), who gutted her friends with an iron hook, college student Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) is still shaken by the experience. When her roommate, Karla (Brandy), wins a vacation for four to the Bahamas, she plans to bring along her boyfriend, Tyrell (Mekhi Phifer), attractive Will (Matthew Settle) and Julie. At the resort, Julie starts receiving threatening notes and realizes Ben is still alive.

'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer' is a pointless sequel. It doesn't do anything interesting, the change of location is also meaningless given how the plot plays out; in terms of weather and a convenient late arrival. None of the characters stick out either. Jennifer Love Hewitt continues to lead finely, though isn't as entertaining as last time out. Freddie Prinze Jr. barely features, while newcomers Brandy (albeit the best of the rest) and Mekhi Phifer are forgettable. I didn't expect to see that cameo from a certain someone, mind. Ultimately, it's just boring. I can't imagine 'I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer' improved things given the release year jump and presumed cast changes, but I shall soon see.

"I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" is a lackluster and unnecessary follow-up. The first movie isn't perfect, but it is a fun and fast-paced slasher movie. This movie's premise feels forced and I just didn't feel any of the thrills or scary elements. It is one of those movies that is so bad that it actually is fun to watch at times because of the writing. It is a bad movie and a good example of why horror movie sequels tend to have a bad reputation. Overall, I would definitely go back and rewatch the first movie which is a guilty pleasure than watch this sloppily put-together sequel any time soon.
