A year after killing vengeful hit-and-run victim Ben Wills (Muse Watson), who gutted her friends with an iron hook, college student Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) is still shaken by the experience. When her roommate, Karla (Brandy), wins a vacation for four to the Bahamas, she plans to bring along her boyfriend, Tyrell (Mekhi Phifer), attractive Will (Matthew Settle) and Julie. At the resort, Julie starts receiving threatening notes and realizes Ben is still alive.

Rating: 4.4/10 I Still Know What You Did Last Summer is a generic and scare-free slasher film that fails to capture the suspense and charm of its predecessor. Highlights - Jennifer Love Hewitt: She continues to be a likable and committed "final girl" in the film. - Tropical Setting: The island backdrop provides a decent and atmospheric setting for a slasher film. Criticisms - Lazy Screenplay: The plot is a predictable and illogical mess, relying on lazy jump scares and a contrived twist. - Underdeveloped Characters: The new characters are bland and one-dimensional, serving only as slasher fodder. - Uninspired Direction: The direction is flat and uninspired, failing to build real suspense or tension. Verdict I Still Know What You Did Last Summer is a lazy and unscary horror sequel that is built on a ridiculous plot contrivance. With a lack of suspense, cheap jump scares, and poor character development, it's a skippable and forgettable entry in the franchise.

“I Still Know What You Did Last Summer” isn’t as bad as I expected, but it definitely can’t escape the shadow of the first one. I’ve always liked Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr., though Freddie barely shows up here, which is a shame. I do appreciate how the movie explores Julie’s PTSD — nice bit of continuity there. Jack Black’s random cameo is fun, the kills are plentiful but super bland, and Will… yeah, he’s just weird, not charming. The so-called twist is obvious from mile one. Overall, a watchable but forgettable sequel. 2.5 stars feels about right.

I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998) surprisingly this movie continues to be a resounding piece of crap. Nothing in this second story works, it's just a story of dumb characters.
