      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Boring, predictable, and bereft of thrills or chills, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer is exactly the kind of rehash that gives horror sequels a bad name.

Michael B Much better than the original. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/23/23 Full Review Blu B You know the acting is just bad, bad music (including the karaoke), and horrifically bad cinemaotgraphy (despite the first 30 minutes being ok), that isn't what tanks this into the abyss. It is the beyond belief atrociously bad editing and pacing that tanks and never lets up right when they arrive at the bar for karaoke. The next 50 minutes is nothing but killing off pointless side characters and not evne any of the main four. You literally could take the entire middle (Over Half) of this movie and cut it and nothing would be lost. It just pointlessly meanders with pointless scares that don't even kill anyone that matters or a supporting character. At least in most bad slasher sequels they have the common sense to kill off a main supporting character and not some random extra effectively for the majority of the runtime. There are soooooo many plot holes and dumb/farfecthed/bizarre/over the top scenes we'd be here until they make the pointless remake. This has no suspense, mood, atmosphere, or drama to speak of. It never utulizes it's beautiful location which is a huge disappointment. And the climax is full of holes and the plot twist is stupid on top of firing 8-9 shots out of a 6 shooter that would'nt fire at first, but than magically does. It gets so dark once the power goes out and so dark you can barely see a whole scene at any given time. Instead of a whodunit like the first we get a generic slasher weighed down by terrible execution and a laughably bad plot. None of the characters are likeable and this just feels offensive watching because it clearly isn't self aware or has any charm and is 100% serious and they must think your an idiot to believe this stuff. Skip this at all cost. It's insulting and does nothing better than the first. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/07/23 Full Review Tyler B If "Scream 2" had a less popular cousin, this would be it. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/17/23 Full Review William D Okay movie that you should watch once but not more than that. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/10/23 Full Review Jackie S I still enjoy this slasher film even thought the first one was better & I wish Freddie was in this one more but it was still good Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/17/23 Full Review Sarah M The 1st one is better. I thought this one is a bit boring but it will probably grow on me. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
