IB 71, a spy thriller ahead of 1971 Indo-Pakistan war, is an untold story based on true events where IB agent Dev Jammwal (Vidyut Jammwal) is on a top secret mission to save the nation. In the year 1971, Pakistan was preparing for yet another war against India after 1948 and 1965, this time from the Eastern front in alliance with China. Intelligence Bureau (IB) of India receives this crucial information about an impending attack from the eastern front. With limited time and resources, Avasti (Anupam Kher) the Director of IB, and Dev, an IB agent, device a daring plan in just 10 days along with 30 agents against 2 nations on the enemy soil without firing a single bullet. IB 71 marks Vidyut Jammwal's first movie as a producer along with Reliance Entertainment and T-Series, is directed by National Award-winner Sankalp Reddy, and is a story about 3 nations, 30 agents, 10 days and 1 TOP SECRET MISSION.

Even by low standards of how ridiculous action movies can be, IB 71 mishandles its depiction of real-life espionage events in 1971. If you believe this movie, then you have to believe one IB agent has a superhero level of fight skills and defense plans.
