Don Aucoin Boston Globe Although Menzel is one of the documentary’s executive producers, “Which Way’' is fairly candid in capturing not just the joy of one of Broadway’s premier belters when she’s onstage but also her anxieties, doubts, and occasional tears when she’s offstage Dec 20, 2022 Full Review Natalia Winkelman New York Times There is little dramatic tension or psychological depth to this cinematic biography, and even in sentimental moments, McCabe fails to elicit an emotional response from her subject or the audience. Dec 8, 2022 Full Review Verne Gay Newsday Fine eye-level portrait of a musical theater great. Rated: 3.5/4 Dec 8, 2022 Full Review Rachel Wagner Rachel's Reviews (YouTube) It's not just a concert film but a peak into her backstory and personal life. Even non-fans of her will find it fascinating. Dec 31, 2022 Full Review Raven Brunner Decider Her story packs a lot of heart and [Idina] Menzel shares it with a level of intimacy and genuineness that is rare to come across. Dec 12, 2022 Full Review Christopher Llewellyn Reed Hammer to Nail All in all, Menzel more than knows the way to the stage, for it is a welcoming place, and she deserves the full spotlight.
