Par H @Parhwy 1h I watched this while awaiting news that my friend, who is in ICU, had finally passed away. I had visited her earlier in the day, she was close, the nurse saying she had hours only... This film is engaging, heart-warming, silly, predictable, pretty. It has some curious editing choices (banner introduction of some characters; a slapstick scene ends at 5x speed). The story is simple enough; the plot is reasonably concise (only a couple of scenes felt cul-de-sacs). It’s basically a kid’s movie about a luckless idiot manchild who becomes a good guy. I enjoyed the writing; the Snow White story was funny. Acting, good: it’s comical by design. Special effects felt natural. Set in Naples. There are a few Neapolitan jokes. I only know one Neapolitan word, pizz (pizza); he did say pizza however I am unsure if he said pizz (pitz) or not. My friend would have love this film; she was a Francophile however she’d get most words, love the story, she herself having had a heart of gold. See more Read all reviews
