Peter B I stuck with it till the end, but was unhappy about the director presenting his movie on a tiny and restrictive screen, which made the characters hard to see. What was the point of that? Filming in dark places didn't help either. It's poorly filmed. I need to see faces close up. Making a movie should not be a game of making us guess who is who. As to the plot, main character Ethan was so cold, dismissive and withholding that it was difficult to feel any sympathy. My reaction to hearing about the horrors of his youth was to wonder why he wasn't in therapy. The other characters were also superficially drawn, although clear enough to see dysfunction oozing from every pore. This could have been a much better movie Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/04/24 Full Review Read all reviews
